- 5 DEICON.cpt 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-14-1992
- DESC: DeIcon, a drag-and-drop utility (Drop Rob-Box), hides the icons of
- KEY: DEICON.cpt KBytes: 20480
- DESC: selected files, folders or disks in the Finder, so that only the
- DESC: name is visible. That way, you can stack your files, drag-and-drop
- DESC: utilities, etc. without taking up a lot of room. It is especially
- DESC: useful for making a launchpad that consumes very little space on
- DESC: your desktop. Another 7.0 PLUS Utility by Robert Gibson. Requires
- DESC: System 7.0 or higher.
- 4 Desktop Remover.cpt 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 02-14-1992
- DESC: Desktop Remover is a simple program that removes the System 6
- KEY: Desktop Remover.cpt KBytes: 7168
- DESC: Desktop file saving System 7 users precious space on their hard
- DESC: disk. System 7 users do not need this file unless they switch back
- DESC: and forth between System 6 and 7. If you do switch back after
- DESC: removing the desktop file, your Mac will simply rebuild it. You
- DESC: will, however, lose your desktop comments.

- 3 dropple menu.cpt 5 B AMUG BBS in a Box 07-20-1991
- DESC: System 7 extension allows you to drop any Finder icon onto any Apple
- KEY: dropple menu.cpt KBytes: 6144
- DESC: Menu item. E.g. drop a text doc's icon onto Word's alias in the
- DESC: Apple menu, and Word will open that document. Drop an icon onto a
- DESC: folder's alias in the apple menu, and that document will go into
- DESC: that folder. Pretty stable I've found. Coded by Fred Monroe with
- DESC: help from Steve Falkenburg. Keywords: System 7, extension, apple
- DESC: menu, dropple, Finder extension. Decompress with compactor.
- 2 DropSave.cpt 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-06-1991
- DESC: With DropSave installed, when you shift click on the title bar of a
- KEY: DropSave.cpt KBytes: 5120
- DESC: document in an application which has a “Save As” menu item, the
- DESC: document will zoom down to a region shaped like a document icon.
- DESC: You can drag this region around and drop it on a Finder window.
- DESC: DropSave will then make the application save the document in that
- DESC: window. By option-shift-clicking on the title bar, the
- DESC: application’s “Save As” dialog will appear so you can change the
- DESC: name of the document if you wish. (You can even move around
- DESC: directories if you really wanted to.) The document will reappear
- DESC: sometime during this process.
- 1 DTPPrinter.cpt 2 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-06-1991
- DESC: When Apple first introduced System 7 at the 1989 Developer's
- KEY: DTPPrinter.cpt KBytes: 17408
- DESC: Conference, it included something called the 'New Print
- DESC: Architecture'. One of the really cool parts of the NPA were
- DESC: 'Desktop Printers'. This allowed you to have an icon on your
- DESC: desktop which represented a particular printer. You could then drag
- DESC: a document onto the particular printer icon, and it would print to
- DESC: that printer. Very useful when you have multiple Laserwriters, a
- DESC: Fax Modem, Print to Disk utility, etc. Well, the NPA disappeared,
- DESC: and with it 'Desktop Printers'....In order to correct this MAJOR
- DESC: oversight, I wrote DTPrinter which implements 'Desktop Printers'
